Restoration Journey of an E-Type Jaguar

A new project has arrived this January for the team at ASM to get stuck into. Originally from the United States of America, this 1962 Series 1 Jaguar E-Type was imported into the UK and currently resides here at ASM ready to begin it’s overhaul.

Having arrived at the workshop, the 3.6L Jaguar underwent a full inspection followed by a complete strip down leaving just the bare shell. At the time of writing the car has left the workshop and headed to the paint shop, ready to be resprayed in the original maroon colour.

We’re excited to bring you on this incredible restoration journey, transforming this worn and tired shell of a car into a road worthy British classic!
